January 3, 2019, Thursday: School re-opens.

January 15, 2019, 7:30 PM, Save the Date: Parent Speaker Cynthia Kriegman, “How to Talk so Your Kids Will Listen”. St. Michael’s Parish, Upper Hall.

Re-enrollment Application: re-enrollment applications for next year have been distributed in mailboxes. A deposit will be required as well. Please see Laurie with any questions.

Cold Weather Clothes: At this time of year it can be challenging to know how to dress your child for school. The forecast says 60 degrees, but there is a frost on the windshield and your car’s thermostat is a chilly 35 degrees in the morning. At The Village School we go outside everyday (except for extreme temperatures or weather) and often early in the day before things have started to warm up. Please send your child with appropriate outerwear – jackets, hats, mittens, and keep their cubby stocked with an extra set of seasonally appropriate clothing.

Village School is Nut-Free: Please pack only lunches that are free of nut products for lunch bunch and extended day.  Thank you!

Traffic Safety: Please exercise caution and vigilance at drop-off and pick-up times. Take care to enter and exit children from cars on the sidewalks and walkways. We continue to work with the town and DPW on traffic calming measures around the Village School, and appreciate your attention to this very important matter.

Our whole family has become a part of the Village School. With annual events like the Halloween Parade and the Auction, there are so many ways to be involved and for kids and grown-ups to have fun.”
